Make a difference &
join The Disco Dog Club!

We are only as strong as the community around us. Having the support of foster families and donors
means we can continue to save more dogs. Volunteering with the Disco Dog Club and helping rescuing dogs is a compassionate and rewarding choice, as it gives a homeless animal a second chance at life. Rescued dogs often come with unique stories and personalities, making them incredibly special companions. Additionally, by fostering or adopting a rescue dog, you’re supporting the many dedicated rescue organizations that work tirelessly to care for and rehome animals in need. Ultimately, rescuing a dog not only saves a life but also helps make a difference in the community. There are so many wonderful rescue organizations working tirelessly to save as many animals as possible. We stand behind their mission by collaborating with other organizations whenever possible, fostering a supportive community united by shared goals.

Why join our volunteer team?

Save lives

Every dog we can take into our rescue is saved from euthanasia in a shelter. Shelter dogs are often euthanized due to lack of space and resources, which is a very sad reality as many could be wonderful companions if given the opportunity. Every dog we take in will reside in a safe, caring home where they can recover from their trauma and learn how to be loved.

Make an impact

Taking dogs out of shelters saves their lives, helps reduce overpopulation in their community since they will be spayed/neutered and prevents communicable disease from spreading as all are vaccinated. Additionally, it can relieve strain on shelters, allowing them to focus on caring for more animals in need.

Join the community

The Disco Dog Club aims to be inclusive and accepting, welcoming dog lovers who want to make a difference in their community. This community will be based on friendship, like- mindedness and kindness for people and dogs alike. We hope to save many dogs, treat people with kindness, educate on the animal crisis, make a small impact where we live and have fun doing it all!

How to join our volunteer team?

Become a foster

Fostering a dog with The Disco Dog Club saves another from a crowded shelter. By opening your home, you offer love and support, letting our dogs heal in a caring environment. We provide food, medical care, and supplies—so all we need is your compassion. Whether you’re an experienced foster or new, we value communication, photos, and videos to share each dog’s journey. Through social media, fosters show how special these pups are, making a truly lasting difference in a dog’s life.

Share our posts

Watching our stories on social media and sharing whenever possible helps more people discover our dogs, be inspired by their perseverance, and connect with our mission. Every like, comment, and share expands our reach, bringing more awareness to the work we do and the lives we save. As our community grows, so does our ability to create meaningful change, advocate for rescue dogs, and increase the chances of each pup finding a loving forever family.

Share our goal

Educating the communities we live in regarding services in our community prevents dogs from entering shelters. Treating everyone with respect and kindness and extending a helping hand when needed can create a ripple effect of change. Continuing to have the hard conversations about why animals are being euthanized daily with shelter overcrowding is a serious issue that needs kindness, acceptance and strong will to create change. We choose to continue to advocate
for animals that are unable to advocate for themselves.

Donate

Donations allow rescues to continue to pay for medical care and feed dogs while they are recuperating. Any donation is appreciated and all are welcome. Dogs with medical needs often
have large veterinary bills. Community support with monetary donations and donations of supplies
make rescue possible. Please reach out if you ever have any donations you may want to donate. We also have an Amazon wishlist available for quick shopping. Please visit that wishlist HERE!

Frequently asked questions

What is the time commitment?

Each dog is different, so there is no way to know how long a dog will be placed in a foster home.

We do offer weekend foster home placements if you are interested in getting involved and supporting
the cause, but are not sure you can make a long-term commitment. This is a great opportunity for our dogs as they can learn to be in different environments, can meet new people/pets and can spend a weekend away getting spoiled by our Club members.

We attempt to cover everything you need to foster your dog. Each foster dog will come with a
leash/harness, food to start and any other supplies we have in stock from donations. We pay for
medical treatment and ongoing medications if any are needed.

While it is always a sad reality, sometimes circumstances are beyond our control and dogs may need to be transitioned into new foster homes or returned after adoption. We always work with foster families to accommodate their needs when caring for Disco Dogs. An adopted dog can be returned, however the adoption fee will not be refunded. We will continue to care for any returned dogs, as we are committed to their success and wellbeing. We absolutely never want them to return to a shelter.

Yes! As a foster parent, you are a huge part of their success as you are supporting their recovery while they are with you. If you fall in love and want to make it a permanent situation, we support that. We still ask that you submit an adoption application and all adoption fees still apply.

We have a donation page linked HERE and you can find us on PayPal and Venmo as well! Thank you for your donation!

Each dog will have a different adoption fee based on the medical needs of the dog. It will be posted at the top of each dog’s profile, so head to their profile and you will be able to see it there. Adoption fees are added to the general fund to continue rescuing dogs.

We highly encourage meet and greets before adoption and will attempt to coordinate those when applications appear to be a good match for adoption.

We schedule all vet appointments with our approved veterinary partners at your convenience. If you are unable to take your foster dog to the vet for medical services, we will arrange pickup and one of the Directors or Volunteers will take the dogs for care. Partnerships with approved vets must be honored by fosters.
