Porter is a resilient 5-year-old French Bulldog who has overcome significant challenges. He was sadly turned into the shelter when he was unable to walk, and it seems he has been struggling with mobility for several months based on his condition and wounds. Despite this, Porter has a courageous spirit and is determined to regain his independence.
Currently, Porter is on steroids and has undergone a laser therapy session to support his recovery. He is also doing regular exercises with the hope of regaining some mobility. In the meantime, Porter has adapted incredibly well, mastering the use of a wheelchair to keep up with his foster siblings. He is still continent and is current on all vaccines. Porter will be neutered once he is safely off of his steroid treatments.
Porter has a sweet and playful personality and is learning to trust people, so he can be shy at times. He has recently found his voice, adding another layer of joy to his personality. Porter is in the process of crate training and working on his anxiety, as he struggles with separation anxiety and FOMO (fear of missing out). His perseverance and positive attitude are truly inspiring, and he’s a wonderful reminder of the strength and resilience that animals can possess, no matter the challenges they face.
