Are you looking to adopt Ekko? This affectionate and playful girl is eager to become a cherished member of your family. Ekko is a gentle and resilient 4-year-old French Bulldog who has overcome a challenging past and is now seeking a loving forever home. Rescued from a shelter after being surrendered by her previous owner, Ekko shows remarkable affection and warmth despite her hardships. Her health requires dedicated attention, including regular ear maintenance to manage scar tissue from past infections and special care for her worn-down teeth. Ekko thrives with patience, love, and understanding, quickly bonding with those who show her kindness. She enjoys playtime with other dogs after proper introductions, does well on car rides and leash walks, and is steadily progressing with crate training and potty training. Ekko’s ideal adopter is someone committed to providing the extra care and ongoing support she deserves. In return, Ekko promises unconditional love, joy, and loyal companionship.
Ekko is a sweet and resilient 4-year-old French Bulldog who is looking for a loving home where she can continue healing and enjoy a life full of affection. We found her at a Las Vegas shelter after she was turned in as an owner surrender, and it’s clear she has had a tough life. It seems she was used for breeding and arrived at the shelter with a fresh C-section scar that needed stitch removal. Despite everything she’s been through, Ekko is a loving and affectionate girl who deserves a second chance at happiness.
Ekko’s health needs some attention, and we are committed to providing her with the best possible care, and we’re working with our vet to develop a plan to ensure she lives her best life moving forward. Sadly, her ears show the years of neglect she endured as they are overgrown with scar tissue from untreated ear infections. She is currently on a medication for ear infections and does require regular cleaning and maintenance in hopes of preventing surgery. Her teeth are another concern, as her bottom front teeth are worn down from years of neglect, which causes her to have a cute “tongue blip” since she can’t keep her tongue fully in her mouth. She will receive all necessary vaccines, and she will be spayed before adoption.
Although Ekko may be a little shy at first, she quickly warms up and forms strong bonds with those who show her kindness. She loves affection and has a playful side, always ready to wrestle around with her foster siblings. She’s good in the car and on a leash, and she tolerates grooming well. She is learning that the crate is meant to be a safe space for her and is working on crate training for night time sleeping and times when family is away due to some separation anxiety. Ekko is mostly potty trained and is a good eater despite her teeth being problematic. It may be best to feed her away from other dogs in your home, as she requires just a bit of extra time to eat since her tongue does a lot of the work instead of her teeth. Ekko is friendly with other dogs, however, she does require a slow introduction to other dogs, as they can make her nervous.
Ekk’s ideal adopter would be someone who understands her past and is willing to provide the care and patience she requires to continue healing. French Bulldogs like her need regular maintenance, especially for their ears and teeth, so her adopter should be comfortable with this ongoing responsibility. They should be willing to offer patience, positive reinforcement and attention. In return, Ekko will offer her love, loyalty, and plenty of joy.
If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky companion who just needs a little extra love and care, Ekko could be the perfect fit for you. She is ready to begin a new chapter of her life with a family who will help her heal and enjoy the happiness she truly deserves.
